Hells Gate

Tyler and I drove to Lewiston to ride our bikes.  We went to Hells Gate State Park and rode the trails they have there.  It was nice, 42 degrees and no snow of course and the trails were damp and in good shape.

Big Tree Down

Dad fell a big grand fir that we had out at chicken ridge. Five feet across at the butt about 200 feet tall and between 150 and 200 years old and thoroughly rotten.

Bike Ride

Laura and I got each other new bikes for Christmas and we needed to ride them.  Even though it is December it was a nice day for a bike ride.  We went to the refuge and went around the auto tour loop and then rode up to the diversion dam on Myrtle Creek.  There was a little bit of snow and ice but nothing we couldn't handle. Almost 10 miles and about 25 degrees out.

Time Lapse Sunset

Here is my first attempt at posting a video.   I did this yesterday over the course of about 2 hours and 40 minutes and sped it up so that is about 21 seconds long.

Riverside

Laura and I are in Riverside now and we are in a really nice park. It is quiet and safe but Nelson has to be on a leash and needs cleaned up after. School is going well and should be done the end of next week. We can't wait to get out of Southern CA. It may be 70 degrees, but what a crap hole.

Headed South

Laura are getting ready to head South to Arizona and California. Even though the weather here in Bonners is in the mid forties - kind of balmy for January. It is in the mid seventies in AZ so that should be nice.
